side speakers

My mobo has 6 colourd jacks. Green, orange black work with my 5.1 system I dont have a 7.1 system, only a dolby 5.1 system There are pink, grey and blue jacks I dont use. I dont use pink, grey and blue. Are one of those colours might be for side speakers? Can I use separate side speakers with...
