Hi guys,

when I started my business 12 months ago I almost went with an 0333 number and a voip service but didn't as I was thinking when I get calls from 0333 they are usually scammers (bad impression on customers)

I ended up handing out my personal mobile phone number and put it on business cards (thought ile just get another mobile number if needed for family/friends).

With being a local service based business I couldn't really buy an area code because the aim is to move 10-15 miles down the road in a year or two so therefore the area code would be different again and confuse potential customers. Also thought a mobile possibly gives a good impression because people know they are calling me direct too.

What do you think to 0333 numbers?

I always put my scambaiting pants on when I get an 0330 number. Why not get a VOIP number and then it won't change when you move to a new location. e.g. I have an 0203 "London" number but that's not where I live.

Think ile leave it as the mobile phone number for now. To be fair my mobile phone is 80% business anyway.

I nearly got my area code but then thought when I move in a few years the area code is different. My client base is roughly within a 10-15 mile radius. If I call them to say there job is complete or arrange an on-site visit it may look a little odd having a random area code then i've got to explain why everytime, lol
