When did they start putting a zero in front of eights on the back of shirts? Noticed it on Beattie and Gerard but thats the first time I've seen MOTD for a while now so it might not be a new thing.

I wondered that earlier and was told in another thread that it's because of Liverpool being the 'City of Culture' in 2008.

Maybe we should all back no.8 in the Grand National in 2 weeks?

yup, and the shirts were to be auctioned off for charity after the game.
