Is it me or has anyone else seen any accidents that involving 09 plates cars? In the last week I've seen two, one that was T bar-ed at a round about, looks like he was trying to get on to the round about. The second was the 09 plate car ramming into the back of someone at a set of lights.

Just a moment ago, this crazy driver almost smashed her 09 seat into the front of my car going round a blind coner overtaking a parked car at some speed whilst in my lane. Of course she try to say I was at fault!? whilst me and the other car driver behind her just laughed at her.

Seems to me that the government scrappage scheme is encouraging too many bad drivers to get new cars....

The amount of new cars around with scuffs/scrapes/dents is mental. I saw a 09 plate and it was COVERED in scuffs and dents. Some people need to go back to driving school.

It's the same every year.

What I find is a few months when a new plate comes out, there are a lot of really irritatingly slow drivers on the roads as they want to protect their new investment/moneypit

mate of mine crashed into a 2 day old 09 plate fiesta.

In a car park? :D

Have noticed few 09 plate drivers, also being overly slow. I've got a fairly new car but even from day one (it was less than a year old when i got it) i ragged the nuts off it, i think i'm a safer driver when not being too slow and overcautious, things just flow better.

It really ****es me off how reckless some people are, paying all that money for a brand new car you'd think they'd treat it like gold. The rest of us end up paying for it due to premiums rising. Furthermore it's not great to rag a brand new car, I waited till the Mini had 500 miles on before driving B roads like a loony.

What I see most is brand new cars, full of crud in the back window.

Stickers, football shirt dangling things, teddys, moron on board warning etc.

Quick we have our new car, now the most important thing to do, fill it with rubbish!

What utter drivel. What has someone owning a new car got to do with your premiums?

Anyhow. Unfortunately, I have seen an 09 plate car in an accident. Mine.

I came back to it in a car park only to find someone had driven into the side of it, and driven off.

The majority of 09 plate cars will be bottom of the range rep mobile company cars or bottom of the range small to mid sized cars for mobility. It's shocking how many people actually have a mobility car!

New cars, old cars... the more accidents the higher the premiums, we all pay.

That wasn't down to you driving like a loon though, sorry to hear that you must be mad :(
