Hey 8 pack,

When using blk x mulitplier to overclock to 4.55 ghz, I got a BSOD with the code 0x000000D1. I used a tool to determine what this was. It said:

QPI/VTT, increase/decrease as necessary, can also be unstable Ram, raise Ram voltage. On Sandybridge add QPI/VTT voltage

Got this from another board

I only have the Deluxe here but HQ tells me: Adjust VCCSA to adjust VCCIO. VCCSA is provided by a stepdown reg off VCCIO. When VCCSA is at stock so is VCCIO. On IB VCCSA/IO adjustment does not seem to do much. I think most vendors have done this (or something a little more crude) on their lower end boards that supply IGP voltage.

Asus-Raja

it seems the VCCIO is linked to the VCCSA

It is indeed linked on this board. It certainly does help with stability of IMC by tuning.

Cheers 8 Pack. I am almost at the end of my whit trying to get a higher clock speed.

I think you should get the parts i have from OCUK storage and see what you can achieve? ;)

lol

ASUS P8Z77 V PRO
INTEL I7 3770K
ANTEC KUHLER 920
CORSAIR VENGEANCE 2X 8GB 10-10-10-27
128GB SSD
(I ALSO HAVE 4X 4GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE 9-9-9-24)

:)

The RAM is fine at stock XMP timings. I just dont like it myself as it does not overclock very well.

Do you need 16gb???? For overclocking at great Value I would go with Samsung Greens . 2 x 4gb.

I use a lot of ram when using osx and my daw. When using software instruments, the CPU and ram make all the difference. I deal with huge quality wav files up to 96khz and my system needs the ram.
this just isn't a gaming machine but my audio work station as well.
