In a total dilema at the moment about which new/additional monitor to purchase.
Toss up between the VX2025wm to go with my existing VX912B or stretch a little and go for the 2407WFP.
I've read a few posts saying that the Viewsonic (with whom I've had NO problems ever) doesn't support 1:1 pixel mapping - what does this, in laymans terms, mean?
Does it mean that the screen is incapable of showing a picture of a native resolution of 1280x1024 but stretches it to the proportions of the widescreen?
Bit miffed off 'cos OcUK have the offer on at the mo for the 2407WFP but won't be buying until Friday, so gonna miss out on that one, but likewise, heard on an independent review board that the 2407WFP is a good monitor, but there are reports of inconsistancy in it's quality (even over the A02 range).
Ideally I'll be making a purchase that will last a few years. The Dell offers a good future proof system, especially seeing as I'll also be using it as an additional console monitor so those additional inputs will be more than welcome, but I really fancy the idea of using 2 monitors for work at home, but can't see how the hell I'll fit my existing 912B AND the Dell on the same desk!!
But back to the main question, how is 1:1 easily defined?
