I use an AOC 24" TFT for my Xbox 360. It's full HD 1920x1080. I'm just wondering about pixel ratio because some one said if the monitor isn't 1:1 it will make the picture look stretched.

The picture looks fine but I'm just wondering if there's anything else I need to do, is a 1920X1080 res auto 1:1 pixel ratio?

Cheers

Set the 360 to 1080p and it will be 1:1.

From what I gather (i'm not 100% on the term myself) for 1:1 pixel mapping, you set the device (i.e. 360) to the max res the TV can support. So if its a 720p TV, set the 360 to 720p etc.

Could be wrong, but thats always how I interpreted it!

My xbox 360 is already set to a res of 1920X1080 so I think it's fine. I don't think you can actually set it to 1080p when using a VGA cable.

Cheers

When searching "AOC 24" TFT" on google, is it the first Rainforest result?

If so, the it is 1:1 pixel size, in other words it has square pixels.
The important bit in the specs is
Pixel / Dot Pitch: 0.27mmx0.27mm

Very few screens have none square pixels, usually TVs with a resolution of 1024*768 (4:3), but are widescreen (16:9).

All you need to do is set the 360 as you have and you are fine :)

There's a lot of different models, this is the spec of my monitor. I don't know what the specs mean at all though as I'm not a monitor person lol.
