Hi all
A few months back I bought a webpage (www.xjcbx.co.uk) while i was doing a HTML and SQL project at college.
I used 1&1 because it looked simple and easy to use, not doing much research into it.
Now, here I am, apparently owning xjcbx.co.uk, but 1&1 says I have ot use it WebsiteBuilder for the content?!
I am stuck to having 1 sub-page in it as the builder won't let me put any more into it, not can I use any of my own HTML, CSS or SQL. so, as you can see, its a bland page with a picture of my firend in from when he was younger (lol).
I wondered if anybody can tell me what I have done (other than wasted a fiver on something that doesn't work as I wanted it to), or if anybody has had experience with 1&1, and could I get to a stage that I could just paste in a big block of CSS and HTML or XML or whatever and it just show up on that webpage?
There is someting called WebBuilder Plus, that costs a fiver a month extra that means I can have:
"* More flexibility – Insert your own code and integrate content from other websites, e.g. videos from YouTube.com.
* More features – Add more CGI scripts (guestbooks, forums, etc.) to your web pages.
* Unlimited pages for your website."
Is this my only option in building a webpage?
Other people that I have spoke to have payed for their webpage, and then just been able to past code into a box somewhere.
I have looked thoroughly though the website that it shows me, and this is the only place i can make any alterations to it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
