1.15 core

Them point of the 1.19 core is that it is more stable than 1.15 or 1.18. The stabiltity is due to some optimisations being removed/disabled this leads to a dropp in the ppd of about 500 points.
After a WU have finished you could delete the core & see whether the 1.15 is download.

But does it crash or hang losing you WU's and therefore the PPD reported in FahMon is never actually acheived check your daily totals on EOC to check.

Nope never had that issue with the 1.15's

Tried that it just keep coming back with 1.19's Never had a stabilty problem with the others except the same issue everyone had when they were unable to supply enough work units last week

Sod the core, I've just picked up a 5748 WU that's running at two thirds the PPD of the 5506, etc. WUs. So, with the drop due to core 1.19, I'm getting 4000PPD instead of 6500.
It's my first of the NVIDIA-DEV projects and I hope the others aren't as slow.

Stick with Core_11 v1.19 for now. The PPD is down in order to restore Core / WU stability. v1.15 worked well across some cards, but when they ported certain opttimizations in to later versions, it caused allot of EUE's / UM's.

v1.19 is not perfect accross all cores, but it's a far better solution both for the science and PPD than several of the earlier combinaitons that were released.

The WU shortage was in part due to these EUE's and UM's as they were flying off the machines as fast as they could get them loaded. The scheduled server outages combined with a few WU assignment issues, compunded the problem.

EDIT: One thing to note, when you have WU / Core issues, make sure you post the relavent portions of your logs on the stanford forums. They are watching these problems closely.

This 5748 WU must love the GTX 280 then. I'm not using FAHmon any more because it caused problems with linux. But 5506 with core 1.15 took 55 seconds to complete 1% with the WU being worth 480 points. 5748 with core 1.19 is taking 76 seconds with the WU being worth 511 points. My maths might be a little crappy as I just woke up, but that doesn't seem much of a drop at all.

Its taking 40% more time to get 6.5% more points. Sounds like quite a drop.

Is that your calculation on my post or your GPUs?

my main gripe is before when i had the 1.15 core id get through the 5506 wu in around 2hrs 10 mins now it takes 2 hrs 30 mins to do the same work unit's

Fair enough. I'll blame it on having just woken up but truth be told, I've not done anything stimulating for a long time :o
