I know you chaps in here are more into meaty cars but i got my wee fiesta for free so cant complain.

Thing is i have noticed a slight rattle/knock when going over speed bumps, as i hate the feeling of flight i go over them slow.

the noise is coming from the back left from what i can tell, ive put new rubbers on the zorst and gave it a good swing and it doesnt seam to rattle or knock.

would it be owrth while to replace the rear axle bushes?

its only done 29000 miles from new and always been kept in the garage. car is an absolute gem i just want wrid of this noise and dont want my lil car getting sick.

Rear bushes, mine was/still is the trailing arm. Knocks over harsh bumps but not excessive movement as it has passed a couple of MOT's since it started.

It did pass an mot which made me think it was just the exhaust, i enjoy tinkering with cars and hate the view a lot of people have about i will fix it when and if i have to. id rather fix it when i first notice it before it all goes wrong.

Do you find with yours in the wet the fan belt seams to whistle. as far as im aware with this its a whole new belt but the only time it does it is if its wet. theres no horible shreek when you pull away just a little whistling as it sits idle

Cheers for the help tho

Nope and there are always big floods around here. Sounds like it just needs tensioning up. I would do it sooner than later as all the time it's squealing it is wearing and with the lights/heater, etc. on the alternator will be putting it under stress.
