Hi all, so this is my crap old PSU, and it says its an ATX 1.3 PSU.

And this is my mobo.

So my question is this, if I buy a new ATX 2.0 or 2.2 PSU, will it work with my motherboard, or do I have to stick to ATX 1.3 PSUs?

I'm bloody confused.

Fully compatible (& most ATX 2.x PSU are backwards compatible anyway). Your mobo has 24-pin EATX power connector, a ATX 2.x feature so suprised PSU is ATX 1.3 unless a 20>24-pin adapter in place

Recommend either Enermax, Corsair, Seasonic (also make the latter), Tagan, PC Power & Cooling, OCZ ;)

Just had a look on my mobo, it is an EATX power port, but the cable going into it says 20+4P on the side. Doesn't look like any adapter is in place.

Alright, thanks for the help.

Can anyone recommend a decent budget PSU? 400W should do it, and ideally enough power on the 12v rail to power my 8600GT.
