He'd rather stick with AMD if possible

The ASUS 290X Matrix is on pre-order price and is cheaper and faster.

Does it need to be small?

Yeah he'd rather it be smaller, he's been pretty set on that Corsair case since I shown him it.

He can go over 1.5k, he said money isn't an issue.

You can go with the Corsair case, only problem is I don't think the 290x will fit.

This 970 on the other hand will fit no problem. I know you said he prefers AMD but you can't go wrong with this card

dacads is 100% right, the air240 struggles with cards that are too wide and/or have a heatpipe sticking out the side.

Show him this -

Does that 970 fit? I see heatpipes sticking out.

This 970 will and has two games and a mouse mat

Okay update:

I spoke to him last night and he said he is willing to go up to 2-3k

He is also willing to go with Nvidia if it means better performance (So possibly Titan X?)

I'll ask him what he thinks of that case

It would just be a case of putting a bigger SSD, a TitanX in and a Gsync 27" 1440P or 4K monitor.

Was just about to post the exact same spec to ask what you thought haha.

He said he isn't a fan of the case, will the titan X fit in the corsair case I linked before?

Also I've tried to convince him to build it himself but he just isn't comfortable, I'd do it myself but he's in Scotland right now. Will OcUK do the build for him if he asks?

Yes the TitanX will fit, it has no oddities to its design, nothing sticking out or is too wide.

Yes they will, but it might be from £60 or more, depends on how complex it is and the man hours put into it.

Simply a bonkers spec for MMO.

He will also be playing GTA V and Witcher 3.

With his current system he is limited to low end MMO's.

£1500 would get a great machine for MMO. Crikey.... no point wasting his cash.
He could save it and buy again next year if he wanted!
Going to be looking myself soon after 4 years of spending £1600 but its still good now.
