Hi 8 Pack.
I have some older Corsair 1600Mhz RAM, its 1.5v @ 1333Mhz and 1.65v @ 1600Mhz
My CPU is an early 2010 AMD Phenom II x6 1090T. (Thuban)
I want, and have 'on and off' to run it at 1.65v (1600Mhz)
But i don't know if this is safe, there is a lot of conflicting information on the Internet.
A lot of people say running Phenom II CPU's with memory volts at 1.65v 24/7 will burn out the CPU's IMC.
Others say thats only with Deneb, (Phenom Ii x4) later Phenom II x6 Thuban's are not the same CPU as the x4, that they got some upgrades, including a better IMC that is OK to run with memory at 1.65v, then others argue, no its still not safe........ Derp Derp Derp.
Do you know anything about this?
