1.8 20V (n/a)

hi guys, sorry to ask this i can't view specs on parkers but does anyone know how fast a 1998 passat 1.8 20V is 0-60 and top speed also what mpg to expect. thanks

it's also £1000 with FSH+full receipts and paperwork, dunno about MOT yet. done 135k

125bhp, 0-60 11 seconds and 124mph. No idea on MPG.

Seems like a pretty solid car for the money.

I'm not usually a Passat fan becuase they cost a load more than anything else and are no better. But for a grand, it's a good car.

they are better built and more comfy then mondeos

i can get a mk3 1.8 lx for £1800 with 12 months mot and sub 100k milage

Better built than a Mk2 but there isnt much in it with a Mk3 - Ford hired the guy who designed the Passat to do the Mk3 as well, out of interest. As for more comfy well that depends entirely on which model of each.

10 secs on paper nearly 130 mph i was expecting more from the 20V thats all (not that i need it in all honesty)

well tbh i'm not i rarely go on the motorway in my own car, i just wanted to compare it to the mondeo 1.8
