1.8 k series engine dimensions

yeah, i aint paying that much for an engine!

That was entirely my thinking when I got my 1.8 Zetec for my kit car, 130bhp as standard and it cost me 80 quid from ebay with ancilleries, it was a no brainer for me. :)

When it gets boring or blows up I may think about tuning or a different lump.

K Series 2.0 turbo? 200bhp and there seem to be a few around.

wasnt aware there was a 2.0, regardless - if the 1.8 is hard enough to find and might not even fit, needless to say 2.0 turbo is likely to happen.

unless you mean a t series 2.0 turbo, then theres one of them sat in the garage and there is no way in hell it'd fit, or i'd fit. It probably weighs as much as my shell does!

My bad.

I owned a Rover 400 2.0 for 10 years and just today realised it was a T series and not a K series :) Great wee engine it was.

There is, but it is a KV6 and if you wanted one of them yould get the 2.5L

There is a 4 cylinder 2 litre K series called the K2000 but it is a race/endurance race spec engine and consequently a bit pricey.

I read on the rover boards about the r65 but couldn't find anything about the weight sorry. I did find though that it is a standard gearbox as used in the BMW MINI and some Peugeot (and for rallying) so maybe it is strong!

I am not getting into the HGF debate, my belief is that it will happen to me at some point, but as long as I spot it early enough through checking coolant and oil every day then the bill should not be to large. Also with the new parts that the likelyhood of it happening again is slim!
