PLEASE CAN ANYBODY HELP ME!

I HAVE 1 connection 2 pc's need 2 diffrent ips for each pc? IS IT POSSIBLE?

I HAVE 1 BT HOMEHUB.

Mnay thanks in advance

They will have their own unique internal IP, e.g. 192.168.0.10 & 192.168.0.11 but you can't have two public IPs.

What are you trying to achieve with two?

local declared static ips? so let me get this straight... you have 1 connection (?!?!?!?!? 1 ethernet? 1 bb connection? be specific pls) and you want 2 PCs to have 2 different ip addresses. The BT homehub will assign IP addresses automatically. If not check to make sure the 2 devices dont have the same ip

well me n my friend can't play on the same poker table online coz wee have the same ip as we shre the sameinternet connection. and we want to play against each other but we can't. is it not possible to chaneg the ip of eithe rof the comps to make them different ? cheers duke for the info.

they are both wireless connections but i can use ehternet if i want to. the bt homer hub assigns the same ip as they are both connecting via the hub, i was wondering if its possible to change the ip of either computer?

Again, no. How you connect to the HomeHub isn't relevant, it's the fact you're both using the one internet connection and BT Retail don't give out any more than one public IP.

edit: beaten to it

I'd have thought this would be a deliberate move by the online poker company to stop people conferring and cheating.

CS:S being Counterstrike:Source?
If so, it didn't. We used to have "lanners" on our server all the time.

Source used to always throw me and my mate out of a game saying "Multiple connections from one IP". Maybe they fixed it, but back when it first came out yea it used to do that all the time.

edit: connecting through bt.

There may be a solution. I have been using one IP address but with 2 different dydns names for the last 3 years see here....

I do connect 2 PCs to an external game server and play in the same game in IL2 forgotten battles from one IP address. I must stress this all depends on the software that is hosting the game.

Er, what are you on about? The OP asks for help with a specific problem, you offer something totally irrelevant with "There may be a solution." then blather about looking "at all scenarios"?

I mean, if we're going to offer useless options: the computer needs to face East, reinstall Windows and buy a new router. Sitting a chocolate ashtray on top of both would help too.

Yep...perhaps yours is a far better solution.

you need to find yourself an open proxy server to connect one of the pcs through, although if its online gambling you might need to dig a little deeper to find one which supports SSL as well.

Some form of VPN connection would do it. Although I suppose there's a reasonable chance that a poker site would have those blocked...
