Friday I completed my Socket 2011 - 3820 SB-E build and had a play around but regardless of being stock or overclocked Core 1 is always a few degrees hotter (just taken from idling in desktop) than the rest and there is quite a spread between cores:

Its currently at 4.6 with speedstep etc enabled and under custom water

Apart from Core 1 im happy with the temps - Im pretty sure the loop is bled properly and air free and may try a reapplication of TIM, but is this common or can anyone think of any other ideas (or am i stuck with 1 hot core)?

Cheers

It's normal, try to think of it that you have 3 really cool cores. :p

You should ignore idle temps anyway because sensors are not accurate at low temperatures.

Cheers guys - the difference is there even on full load, but if its just one of those things then fine :)
