Was out all day today with my new 10-20mm. Unfortunately I didn't get inspired and the light was very meh! So as usual, I switched to my 150mm baby and did a bit of the old usual. Only 1 im pleased with;

On a sidenote, the 10-20mm does seem very nice, especially for sweeping landscapes. It gives great saturated colours and is nice and sharp. Just need to find a decent subject in the right light now. :)

Really like it, I might crop a tiny bit from the top of the shot though, the border really adds to the general feel of the shot as well.

Great pic as usual. I had a similar day, I went out for an hour or so and didn't get ONE decent shot. I was so annoyed I deleted all of the ones I had taken in protest.

I did however just get back from a bridge over the A21 to get some light trail shots. Been done a million times I know but was chuffed with the results.

Looking forward to seeing some shots from your Sigma

i'm trying to get into photography and whilst i know i have nowehere near the skills or the kit to take a photo like that, something about it just doesn't sit right with me.

i think it may be the way the eye is in perfect focus and looks very 'CGI' compared to the rest of the shot.
all i am drawn to is the eye or the tips of the wing(s), there isnt anything else attracting me.

and as said originally i have no idea how this could be remedied...

The only way to remedy that would have been to increase the depth of field. But as I already was pushing it with the shutter speed, and the iso was set to 400, I didn't want to up the iso any further in order to gain that extra bit of dof as it would have resulted in a noisey image. Also it was realy windy which didn't help.
