i bought it from overclockers just over a week ago and i've noticed a stuck pixel, i've tried programs/rubbing it:o etc... and nothing works :(

So will i be able to get a replacement from Dell/OcUK?

Dell's Policy on Dead Pixels

One to five stuck pixels anywhere on the screen is not terms for replacement. This is within normal operation of the panel specification. Replacement of the monitor/LCD TV is authorized with 6 or more defective pixels Exception - Two adjacent stuck Pixels anywhere on the panel is considered a failure and replacement of the monitor/LCD TV is authorized

Well i called DELL and they said they will replace it but it could take up to 50 days  but to my surprise one has turned up today but they didn't even take the old one :D Will they come back later for it or am i a lucky ****?

I'll take the other one away for ya m8, just let me know your addy and i'll come shift it asap, don't want it getting in the way now do you. Health and Safety hazzard and all that.

:D

I think it might be going on auction site;)

I'm going to, and if they call me after that i'll just say i sent it back when i got the replacement :p

strange thing is DELL said they would call me before they was going to deliver a new one and take my old one same day but they didn't do either

If they dont atke it back you could ring up again and say you got one with a dead pixel and see if they bring another. Then give them back the one with the dead pixel and you can dual screen!

i got a stuck pixel on my 19" targa grrrr :( my first tft this was (and still is) stupid Lidl never buy flat panels from ther!!! paid £150 for this (which was pretty standard pricing at the time for what it is) so no real value there :(

2 years ago I had 4 Dell 2005's sitting in my spare room, I thought at least one of them would have slipped under the radar. Glad I kept them. 8 weeks later they where collected :(:)

I find it bizarre that manufacturers can get away with supplying faulty goods and are allowed to specify the level of faultiness they deem to be truly faulty or "acceptable".

Its like a car manufacturer declining responsibilty for a car coming off the production lines with three wheels and the manufacturer saying its not a problem till another wheel or two drops off.

Does anyone know if this issue of stuck/dead pixels has ever been challenged in court by consumer groups or similar?

Just a quick question here rather than start another thread:

Is the A04 revision of the 2407 the latest one or the previous one?

Cheers.
