My iPhone is Synced to the old iMac.

I have copied my music library to the new iMac, it has my Apple ID etc. I have actually tidied up the iTunes library in the new iMac too, made it more streamlined.

What would happen if I plug in my iPhone into the new iMac and sync?

I basically want to sync to both if I wanted, without deleting my Contacts, Photos or music, just backing up.

But should I add a song or playlist from one computer, if I sync to the other, it won't remove it.

Can I do that?

You can authorise up to 5 computers. If you have an item on your iPhone not present on a Mac when you sync it will ask if you wan't to transfer the purchases. There should be no issues from syncing between two Mac's.

Did you backup/copy over the iPhone backups onto the new mac?

I'm note sure of the location, but if you copy that folder over to the new iMac, and authorise it, it should be fine.

You can't sync between two computers afaik.
