10.10 - Loading times took ages, serious frame drops

10.4 - Super fast load times, constant frames

Get 10.4 if you smart and you play Black Ops

Just received my new HD 6870 this morning and been playing COD:Black Ops with the latest 10.10's and no problems at all.

Runs as smooth as silk.

So bad advice there it would seem.

I have 10.5 with 10.10 xfire profile and what ever I do it stays laggy though switching off xfire dramatically improved but still feels strange.

nope cards not overclocked at all, maybe it is for every persons setup.

i bought a 970 this morning thinking loading times it would improve didn't, so i tried video drivers and it worked .

so :|

I had problems with all the latest ATI drivers apart from 10.5. UNTIL I removed Nvidia Physx Drivers that Mafia 2 had installed and also removed SpeedFan. Sounds odd I know but 10.10e now work perfectly!

black ops does not like Xfire :(

Black ops does not like multi GPU full stop

There is no point in enabling muligpu in the the settings as it does not work.

What you need to do is have xfire/sli enabled but disable it in the config.cfg in your steam\steamapps\common\black ops\players

multigpu needs to be set to 0 and make sure the multicpu is set to 1

This work. The game will still use xfire/sli as the profiles are there in your drivers it just stops the game from confusing itself
