So I was prompted to update my flash in firefox, did so and now it's screwed up youtube videos. Embedded and on the youtube site are black boxes with paused circles in middle, plays sound and moves the timer at the bottom....but no video, the cursor leaves a slow trail of where the time lapse is too.

I tried uninstalling, reinstalling flash. I've tried reinstalling firefox. I've tried disabling add-ons. Mixed results, so I tried installing chrome and same problem applies with latest flash.

After reading everywhere, I think it's because I have a 64bit system....but never had this before? Anyone else care to help out or share problems? :(

If you have an ATI card make sure in CCC that you have the box next to AA ticked for 'Use application settings'. Worked for me, am currently using ATI 11.2 driver.

Nope, but I've found after x amount of time any flash video will simply skip strait to the end i.e. replay button for no apparent reason, however manually skipping the section of a video which causes the skip and it plays fine. Still, it happens in both ie and firefox :(

Anyway, first thing, does it happen in ie?

update drivers: if you're one of these ppl running cat 10.4 you will have problems.

Reinstall flash: Close everything running flash (including steam, msn etc), run the uninstaller, delete flash cookies too, BetterPrivacy can remove these, reboot and clear any temp files. Install flash for ie and firefox.

Swear when you realise the web wont go all html5 for a long time yet :)
