So the other day i installed the 10.9 drivers straight over the top of the 10.8's i had previously and everything seemed to be fine but i uninstalled them as i was getting problems with my PES demo so wanted to re-install them fresh on their own.

Now though i can't get the drivers to install properly. After i driver sweep the old drivers i reboot then launch the 10.9 installer which goes and does it's thing before telling me the installation is complete but show me a warring that errors occurred although when i hit view log nothing happens. The same happens with 10.8 drivers

I have no idea what to do next other than to backup my documents/downloads folder and re-install windows 7.

Driver sweeper is not necessary at all in w7, in future I suggest you not use it as it is possibly the casue of your problems, just uninstall the drivers form the programs and features, reboot and install new drivers, reboot.

Can you do a system restore before you installed over the drivers.

what's wrong with driversweeper? It always finds and removes ATI files when i use it. After that I also run Piriform CCleaner and that finds 3 dead registry entries for ATI too.

It potentially can screw up the registry and is totally not necessary in W7, hell you run AMD and Nvidia drivers at the same time in W7, it's not XP.

This. I still probably have some leftovers from a PhysX card (never reinstalled Win7 since Oct 09) and they don't affect my hardware at all.

Cheers Kitch9 will check that out see if it helps because 10.8's and 10.9's just won't install not even if i try and do them over the top of 10.7 which installed.

*edit* Catalyst Control Centre now says i'm on 10.8's which is probably the version windows 7 downloaded and installed for me just now.

Thing is, I tried to uninstall the 10.4bs in control panel, and all 3 times I would get a BSOD.

Cue safe mode + driversweeper + fresh install of 10.9s = everything working hunky dory again.
