Hi all
I'm thinking about upgrading to a 10 bit 4k monitor at some point next year. I know AMD and Nvidia gaming cards will both output 10 bit colour in DX applications, but are limited to 8 bit in software that uses the opengl pipeline (Photoshop etc).
In an ideal world, I'd just buy a Quadro RTX 8000 and have a full 30 bit workflow in Photoshop, but my budget won't stretch that far. If I run an 8 bit graphics card with a 10 bit monitor in Photoshop, am I likely to run into issues? Is the only solution to emulate 8bit mode? Would 8 bit FRC be a better option for my setup?
Thanks!
