Myself, 2 chaps from work and a +1 we need to still rope in (4 is better than 3). The 2012 schedule has thrown up a golden opportunity.

8-10 June - Montreal F1
11-13 June - do Vegas
14-15 June - road trip to Austin (about 2,000 km)
15-17 June - Austin F1

We reckon it can be done for around £3,000 each without any skimping (excluding the extras that Vegas can offer). None of us are entirely sure that we can physically survive such a trip though.

Too good to an opportunity to be passed by :)

Do it, good god I didn't even think about austing gp. Were looking at doing a road trip new York to The keys. If I could get the dates lined up, wouldn't cost much more to get over to Austin.

If you haven't been to Montreal before you will be gutted to leave after 3 days. My fav city in my younger days. A real party town even on a monday or tuesday night.

I've driven round the circuit and it's a lovely place to be, I keep threatening to go back for the race. The tracks really weird because you can accidently end up on it heading to the casino, one of my collegues did a lap round there in the snow. When I went round I was the only car on the road. If that was england people would be blasting round it for fun.

This is a great idea. I wish I had the money, but I'm off to Montreal next week instead. Not for any racing, but I'll be paying a visit of course!

If I can get the time off work etc.

This is what I'll probably be doing:

2,000 miles - not bad. I think we might be onto a winner. :)
