10" Racks

and shelf brackets are cheaper if that's your plan

It's certainly more expensive mate than going full 19" as most of the kit is sized for 19"
I run minipc hypervisors so it makes more sense for me. Full size switch is next door next to the node0 where all the structured cabling is, so I only need to provide a couple of uplinks to it from the minirack

It is annoyingly not straight forward making a custom UPS - trying to avoid designing it entirely from scratch - but there is a lack of pre-built 12V lithium charge boards and the ones that do exist are mostly very poor, best of a bad job seems to be the XL4015 boards (and a BMS as required). Probably doesn't help there aren't many options for a 12V charger IC. Ideally want to use off the shelf 12V LiFePO4 batteries.

Trying to avoid something messy like multiple 18650s and individual TP4056s or something hacky like reusing a solar charge controller and bypassing MPPT and/or making the input compatible with PWM.

Yup, current UPS won't fit but maybe more options with the larger DeskPi RackMate T2
