10 Sec delay after pressing on button

Hi Guys,

I've got a strange problem with my comp. After pressing the on button there is about a 10-15 second delay before the computer comes alive.

It used to power on fine, then gradually it started to take longer and longer to turn on. I thought it was maybe a problem with my extension lead so I plugged the comp directly into the wall socket and still the same problem.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

psu on the brinks? if you have a spare power supply from a different pc try that and see what affect it has : )

Starts up the fans at first, then reboots ?
Thats what my computers been doing for ages, apparantly its a safety check or something , a built in bug on some p35 boards, if thats what it is its annoying, but no need for concern.
