...what would you spend it on?

Just checked my online banking and there's a deposit for 10k made over the counter earlier today (not by me).

Not sure what to splash the cash on...

*I won't spend it, unless it's still sitting there in 6 months time :p

Friend of ours got her purse snatched and the cops found the thief was using a cheque book from another stolen purse to pay money into her account and getting cash back on a large amount of that cheque!

Did you get your card snatched in the last year or so?

What's the law in the States like for something like this? Could you, for example, draw it out and claim ignorance and say that you thought it was a gift from a relative or something? Or would they be on you like a ton of bricks?

As for what I'd spend it on. I do have my eye on a rather tasty Defender 110 Tdi 200, which at £3.5K means I'd have plenty left for the proverbial rainy day.

I really do think if banks make these sorts of mistakes then the banks should pay, they should let you keep the money and give the money back to the original person that the money is meant to go to. Then you'll see how quickly these kind of mistakes become very rare

Its usually not the bank who makes the error but the original sender.
