£100 Budget

I've got a friend who is interested in getting a new sound card, what is the very best card you can recommend for £100 there or thereabouts? I know absolutely naff all about sound cards, so your help is greatly appreciated.

if its for games, Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty Professional £90
music, M-Audio Audiophile 192 £90 - i have this card and highly recommend it.

the M-Audio Audiophile 192 .can u plug a mic in to it. or would u need to use a USB mic

it has 1/4 inch trs inputs which iirc can accept mic's if they have that socket, but am not 100% sure.

You'll need a USB mic or a mic preamp for the 192 as you cannot plug mics via trs.
