100% cpu load

My cpu keeps jumping to 100% load.

I have reinstalled xp pro and it is still the same.

Various processes can use up full load at different times eg. iexplorer.exe, svchost.exe and other.

I have a s754 AMD62 3000 cpu wth 1gb of ram.

This problem started out of the blue without me adding any new hardware etc

to explain...when i do different things instead of them using 5-10% cpu load like they used to they now use 90-100% instead eg playing a video in media player used to use a few % cpu load where as now it uses 40%

if i use the internet then explorer.exe will show as using 100% cpu usage in the processes tab.

i tried firefox but that laso used full load.
