Hopefully someone can help me out here. When windows has loaded and connects to the internet, my disk usage goes straight up to 100% and stays there for 5 to 6 minutes. This is not a virus. I have read on microsoft and some forums saying this is windows update and to disable it, but this does not cure my problem. I know that it is svchost running. Also forums report that cpu usage goes to 100%, but my cpu usage is not affected only hard drive. I am using vista home premium 64 bit.
This did not happen when I first installed vista, it happened about 3 months after. I have done a clean install and it happens straight away. any help would be great.
