Fantastic news. However, I've never seen the police on the motorway when there have been a bunch of middle lane morons following each other in lane 2.

I hope this will educate people though.

What a load of bull.

This has nothing to do with educating or road safety. And everything to do with generating more income from fines.

I think a lot of it is introducing a populist policy. That said if it's used sensibly it should help congestion. I'm sure we've all seen bottlenecks caused by an idiot driving slowly in the middle lane unnecessarily.

I also think there should be serious consultation on a slight increase in speed limits for cars on motorways. Especially on managed motorways .

Who cares, if it gets people driving properly I'm all for it.

Morons who can't drive properly should either learn to do so or be fined if they don't.
