Hey guys.

Got £100 holiday money left over and wondering how to upgrade my system with it. I currently have:

Coolermaster 335 elite
Hi-Power (cheap brand?) 800watt SLI PSU
ASUS P7P55D- Evo mobo
i7 860 @ 3.3GHz, Coolermaster Hyper 212 plus
ATI 2GB 7870
2x 2GB DDR3 1666MHz RAM
500 + 250 GB
1920*1080 screen

So I am wondering if I should get a 120GB SATA II (or III if it is no more expensive, + future proof) SSD...

Or maybe get a better case with good airflow and a better aftermarket cooler in aid of reaching 4GHz on my old i7 so it can keep up with my GPU? I could probably go higher on my current cooler, but I don't know about 4GHz. I don't really want to tweak voltage timings but voltages is fine, so is 4GHz unrealistic without messing with RAM timings anyway?

Or maybe a modular PSU to aid airflow, although I seem to have got lucky with my current PSU and not had any problems...

Any thoughts?

But SSD is always worth the upgrade, but that PSU needs to go. So it's a bit of a toss up. I'd get the PSU now, then get the SSD as your next upgrade.

lol thanks everyone for clearing that up, now I am in no doubt :P

Looks like the PSU might have to go, I might go for the PSU and Case (or maybe PSU and a cooler), and save the SSD for when I upgrade the whole lot and have a SATA III mobo.

Agreed.

Though id personally go PSU and case. Better airflow will help with OCing anyway, so may not need a new cooler. Never know, til its tried.
