Time to replace my cheap sony FM wireless 'phones that I've had for a year now as I've realised that the sound quality is terrible as is the signal as it tends to fade even when sat still.

Anyway, I will mainly be using them to listen to music from the pc whilst internet browsing, my main concern is audio quality (ok through a pc and a 3.5mm jack I can't expect crystal clear but just want the best for my money).

They'll be going through an xfi extreme gamer sound card if that helps :p

I don't really have a clue about anything related to 'phones so if you need any more info just let me know :)

Thanks in advance.

when i asked, everyone said "wireless ones are cack, get a decent wired pair"

i bought sennheiser hd 595 ' s they're AWESOME, around the price you want too :)

It's more for convenience really. I have a massive dislike for wired headphones but if I can get much better then I'll go that way :p

That's fair enough. Personally, I favoured sound quality over convenience when I made my first major headphone purchase. Things may've changed since then, though, there might be something released which makes an interesting compromise between the two.

For what it's worth, the cable on most decent stereo 'phones is pretty long (my DT770 Pros, for example, have a 9' cord if I recall correctly so I can easily walk to my bedroom door from my desk without taking them off). You can also get extension cables and such, if you're worried about being restricted by the device regarding movement. However, if it's the inconvenience in having to plug them in every time or something then wireless 'phones may be the only option (though the receiver/transmitter unit will still have to be connected when you want to use them, obviously).

My girl bought me a cheap set of wireless ones (Sumvision), and although there is a little background hiss, they're exactly what i need for gaming... when i'm going to "listen" to some music though, I think a decent pair of corded ones are worth the tether :)
