Most of us can but dream of 50.

I get less than 2.

A gaming friend of mine in Estonia gets this -

We are so behind the times. :(

My Estonian friend has come back with something truly amazing.

Not his line, but a friend of his who has this. The latest in Estonia. O.M.G.

His friends equipment in his flat cannot cope, as the connection should be '1Gbit'.

*edit*

Oh, as another kick in the teeth for us over here. This is my friends connection (on post #1), pinging to Milton Keynes, all the way from Estonia.

Pays - (quoted)

I pay 23.7 EUR/month (£ 20,4), it is actually special offer for 2 years. After that I will pay 30 EUR (£ 25.8). For this I get internet 100Mbit/down; 20Mbit/up, 70 TV channels via IP-TV, phone.
8.5GB full HD movie will take about 15 min to download.

I was looking at Speedtest again and noticed they have some global stats.

What is interesting (and possibly obvious), is that whilst Europe has the best on average, it is the 'Eastern Bloc' countries which have the best performance.

South Korea has the fastest on average in the world at 39.15Mb/s, but is closely followed by Lithuania, Latvia and Romania before you get back to The Netherlands, then Moldova?

Anyway - here is the full list, the UK comes in at 32nd for download, when ignoring schools and corporations. For upload we are 65th.

And as I started this thread, I had better put mine up, which annoy me greatly.
