Hi all,
I built my own system a couple of months back and all was fine until yesterday.
I had a problem with my sound which I could not fix so decided to do a reinstal.
Which all went fine except I think the process took far too long.
(Im on Vista and when I originaly built the computer and installed Vista it took no time at all but this time it took an age to instal).
I then installed all my other progs and although everything installed it seemed slugish. I then installed Steam and cs, cz, css etc.
Prior to this fresh instal when I was playing cz/cs the cpu usage was very low max about 30% (if even). When I fired cz up the other day the game was glitchy like having the odd lag spike. When I checked the cpu usage it was reading 100%!!!!!!!!!!!! I exited out and the cpu usage dropped back to 1% I then tried 1.6 and the same thing. It seems once i go into the game the cpu usage goes crazy.
My spec is an Intel Core 2 DUO LGA775 E6600 2.40GHz Retail / Abit IP35-E / 2GB Corsair XMS2-6400C4 DDR2, Nvidia 8800GTS 320mb version and I'm running Windows Vista 32bit.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also everything is running at stock atm.
