£100 spend - what to get?

You maybe able to find a 5770 for under £110 otherwise get the msi 5750 meaker pointed out, or a 4890/275 should be about £100 in the MM.

I'm guessing he wants to play some games ;)

It would be useful if we knew some specs, pci-e or agp what psu etc :)

I didn't realise the 5850 could do that. Are you talking about overclocking Meaker? I'm guessing the 5770 can overclock too and still keep a healthy lead?

Without researching, I always assumed a 5750 was a 4850 and a 5770 was a 4870 performance-wise.

They were at launch but the driver have come along since then, now they outperform their 4 series counterparts. In truth the 5770 is close/equal too the 4890 however that can be obtained second hand for significantly less than the 5770s.

If you're on a budget and don't mind the heat/noise then the 4890 is easily the best card (sub £100 a lot of the time).

new: 5770
2nd hand: 4890/4870

the difference between the 4870 and the 5770 when overclocked is minimal
the 4890 is the faster of the options but draws more power
