Fascinating story about some 100 yr old negatives that were found in ice in the Antarctic.

It's amazing that these were recovered and even more amazing that the images were developed from them considering the environment they were in.

That's amazing. I guess the cold conditions played a part in preserving the film.

Imagine today's top SD card models, I know Sandisk advertise their cards as heat/water/bomb proof in some instances so finding one from today in 100 years time, I guess nobody would have a ready compatible then though :p

It is an amazing find. The conditions are almost certainly the reason these have survived i would think. Nitrate film stock is very volatile, hence all the problems that the museum of photography has had to grapple with in the past. Being kept in a very cold and dry condition in the Antarctic has helped a lot.
