A mate's computer blew up last night. He needs a replacement.

He is only looking for the PC, no peripherals.

i7 if possible, as much fast RAM as possible and an Geforce GFX. On board sound is fine.

ideas?

I would assume he doesn't need an o/s since he had a previous computer £1100 would get you a pre built i7 skylake system with a 970 if you shop around rather than an older haswell. Obviously if you can build yourself it would also save a few quid.
