Nah thats not too bad really...

You could swap in an E8400 and buy a sound card and a different (prettyer?) case... (im not an antec 900 fan but thats more personal taste, i understand its a good case for cooling/the price). But the E8400 idea is more if your just planning on gaming as it's better to have 2 faster cores than 4 slower ones right now...

You could consider the 260/280 cards from nvidia but thats only really personal preference, there wont be much performance difference between them and the one you have... (unless you thinking of going above the 1900x1200 resolution area)

Onboard sound not upto much then? i've only got the Gigaworks T20's, Would I really see much difference with a dedicated sound card? I think i'll stick with the case, cant find another that would be suitable (suggestions?) And Will an E8400 wield much of a performance difference (Obviously its cheaper)

Thanks for the input guys, I only really play WoW, and it runs like a dog in places on my A64 3200+ and AGP X1950 Pro 521MB, So this is going to be a major upgrade for me :p, I wouldnt mind playing other games, but on this machine I tend not to bother for obvious reasons.

Well in WOW the E8400 will be running at 3ghz stock to the Q9550's 2.83 so you'll get slightly better performance (and the quad is a bit wasted on WOW) plus the E8400 should clock to 4ghz easy (if you fancy that sort of thing)

The sound card is more if you think you'll notice the difference, i mean onboard sound now is pretty good (everyone uses a variant of the intel HD audio chip thing and thats pretty good) but theres no real need to spend the cash on one if you dont think you'll notice the difference (i got the d2x which was expensive but a nice bonus, not essential to my build in anyway though...)

The case is pretty much entirely personal preference. Down to whether you like the looks or not more than anything else (most cases at that price are generally going to be pretty good) :)

But yeah core 2 is a pretty nice upgrade to single core A64 :D (i made the jump back in march after wolfdale was released)

If it's mainly for WOW then I wouldn't bother spending £270 on a CPU (You can get i7 for that price aswell). I really can't justify spending that much on a CPU, but hey that's me :p I'd go for an E8400 aswell, I've got one myself, get it overclocked and it will fly.

I'd also be tempted to up the power on the PSU, especially if your overclocking. Also maybe go for 8500 ram, you should be able to get a higher overlcock than with the 6400.

I've got both the antec 900 and 300, great cases, the 900 is slightly bigger but also a bit louder. The 300 for the price is the best you can buy, at the moment it's half the price of the 900. Both are also great for cooling.

Thanks guys, im "Hopefully" ordering this week/maybe next so im looking to get all the input before I make the plunge. :)
