What exactly is wrong with the Corsair AX860i, out of interest?

Get the non i version, the 860i is made by flextronics, the 860 (non i) is made by seasonic and is a lot better. Plus, for that PSU it's a lot of money when you could get same wattage for a better price.

I have the 860 (non i) and it's fantastic, will be using it properly soon for some Crossfire love!

The UD3 has only four RAM slots remember, it will still work with two sticks in dual channel, but for maximum performance you want four RAM sticks and get it running in quad channel mode.

If you wanted a board with eight RAM slots then the UP4 is a good one,

Board below has 8 memory ports so you can add anther 16gb if needed.
