£1000 for a TV - 65" LED or OLED 55"?

In a conundrum,

I would like an upgrade from 55 to 65"
I would like OLED.

65 OLED out of my price range but 55 JUST in my price range.

I feel there is a potential for OLED quality and performance to outweigh the desire of a 65" screen.

I know an XF90 Sony Bravia is in my range but that's LCD.

Screen burn, is this a burning issue when it comes to OLEDS?
 
What about if my girlfriend is watching hollyoaks and goes for a fag and sticks it on pause for 2 hours?
 
Roflmao, she goes on the balcony has a fag then if she comes in she might browse Facebook and before you know it the telle has been on pause quite a while.

Apparently that LG C9 is the bees knees?

Oh, and its Movies, Games and most importantly Coronation Street.
 
So the 55" C9 is probably a better bet by the sounds of it. I think that vs SONY XF90.

I will probably be 4 ish weeks until I bite the bullet so will have to see if the C9 is more or less desirable by then

I'm currently on a 55", a 65" is a nice to have, I don't think a 55 is too small, I sit around 1.9 meters from the screen.
 
I'm not convinced I'm on the fence. I think a 55 is fine at 1.9 meters? I admit a 65" does add some nice size, I may consider a 65" version I think they're around 1499, but it is stretching the budget a bit, perhaps I may save up a little more. I want a TV that's going to be excellent for 3-4 years if I'm honest. I've had a new TV every year for the past 2 years but these are entry level, 49" MU6400 and then a 55" NU7400, the MU6400 was superior in all but black levels compared to the NU7400, but end of the day they're both entry level with mediocre HDR / sometimes unnoticeable HDR.
 
I like the look of that remote for the LG C9, it's like a mouse, it's magical how on earth does it work, the OS looks ace too.

Samsung OS looks boring and dull, very slow too.
 
Sounds like it's a bit pointeless flogging money on a dead horse then. Will consider the C9 OLED

Perhaps I could get an E7 or B7 or whatever other iteration for lower to fit 65 inch in my budget? But what will the drawbacks against a C9 be?
