£1000 for a TV - reccomendations?

guys,

have a budget of 1K for a new TV.

looking arond the 42" mark, but may go smaller if i need to

any pointers? i have no real preference in the plasma/LCD arguement other then i would be worried about burn if its a problem with static channel logos (cbeebies/cartoon netwrok being the main ones!) and life. i dont want to spend a huge amount for it to die in a few years either!

i would be going with a seperate sound system, but not straight away.

37" Toshiba 37WLT66 LCD for a touch over £1000.

Superb television for the money. Good SD performance, superb HD performance, and with 2 HDMI + VGA + Component you're fairly future proofed!

Not for £1000 no..

You could go down the 50"+ RPTV for around that money, but it's a question of preference really. Personally I prefer the LCD / Plasma route.
