Hi all,

A mate has asked me to help spec/build a pc for him. Believe he needs a full system - Tower, monitor, keyboard and mouse etc.

He is looking to spend around £1000 but could possibly stretch a bit if needed.

I've not really kept up with what the best hardware is atm - so could anyone who is better informed put a spec together?

Believe he wishes to use it mostly for gaming (inc. VR), bit of photoshop and general everyday tasks.

Cheers

Ali

So a bit over, and still needs mouse/keyboard. Headset too?

Recommend downloading the latest complete Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft's website and using a USB stick to install it. Will avoid some issues plaguing older Windows 10 versions coupled with downloaded updates. The DVD in the basket is just for the Activation Key, really.

Thanks for this - looks great. He's decided he can go to £1250 max to include keyboard and mouse. What would you add/improve to this?

Thanks
