Hey guys I am in the market for a new gaming laptop and since the market for that is so big I said, "Well why not go to the experts. Now my budget is about £1000 like it says in the title. I would be willing to flex that to just over £1100 but no more. Now this laptop doesn't have to top of the line but it has to be able to get the job done and get it done with some level of detail. Obviously 17in would be nice but I believe then the price range get's a little ridiculous(I could be wrong however). 15.6in would work just as good and if absolutely 100% needed to stay relatively £100+ the budget we can go down to 13in. Basically I would want performance first. I await your replies and appreciate them. Thanks ahead of time guys.
Hi Goofus, and thanks Maundie !
Hope to be of assistance.
(I just previewed this post and realised Maundie suggested the same product!,,, good work sir !)...
If you want something at a crunchy price, in a 17" form factor, this unit represents best value at OCUK:
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/giga...ith-wide-angle-view-intel-core-lt-062-gi.html
This was a genuine £1,449 price product about 3-4 months ago, but we managed to get a deal price for OCUK on some stock from HQ, and as part of the deal we installed Win 10 on them.
You get decent 4th generation i7 processor, a GTX970m GPU with 6GB vRAM, 8GB ram, 1TB Hdd and a 128gb ssd.
An additional 8gb ram can be added if you wanted to, and the ssd ( 2bays) can also be upgraded yourself, so plenty of expandability options in the future. (up to 2 x 512GB ssd)
With the P37, you also have a hot-swappable optical drive, again this can accept another up to 2TB HDD or up to 512GB SSD - or simply install the caddy supplied FOC, for a bit of weight saving if you don't need the optical drive.
Hope that helps, and gives you everything you need, nearly on budget!
Any questions, let us know.
