Hey guys! I’m 14 and I’ve been saving money for a gaming pc as my 2013 iMac with 750m Isn’t cutting it anymore.

Ive got roughly £1000 for this build so there’s leeway and it don’t need to be exact it can go up to £1200 if needed tbh

Mainly using this pc for gaming but I’m also gonna start doing photoshop and editing as I wanna graduate IT in university and start doing game design as I’ve wanted to make my own games since I picked up san andreas on the ps2:D

I am looking to play games in 1080p as I don’t have 4k screens and all of that just gonna get a 144hz 1080p display please recommend some down below **not included in pc budget that’s seprate money**

I’m gonna play mainly CS:GO which I just want fps in not quality, I also wanna play games like pubg and rust that’s pretty much it:D

Leave your builds down below I know what Iroughly want but I might change my mind

ALSO WHERE SHOULD I ORDER FROM OVERCLOCKERS OR DIFFRENT WEBSITE IM NOT BUILDING MY OWN AS PARENTS DONT TRUST ME:(

Hey Matas, £1000 is a lot of money when your 14..when your older as well now that I think of it....good effort!
Guys will come on and spec you a build that will do what you want for the money I'm sure. You might be best to look for a second hand graphics card, the price for new ones is silly and could well eat up a lot of your hard saved cash. I bought a second hand 980ti last week and that cost me £300 about the same as it was new! If I were you I'd go for a second hand 970gtx it will handle 1080p no problem.
Good luck...I bet you could build it with maybe a little help.

We can't recommend other retailers due to forum rules - but as you want a pre-build system i would post in the systems and bundles forum - Clicky

For price comparison this is an example of what you could get if you built yourself - you could knock off £150 by getting a smaller SSD, cheaper case and just 8Gb of memory (or a second had GPU as mentioned above -as prises are outrageous at the moment - memory included):

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,164.08 (includes shipping: £13.20)

*You would still need to add WIndows 10 to the above...

Below spec would be just as fast - lesser storage on SSD/HDD and cheaper case and smaller wattage PSU (still need to factor in Windows 10):

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,062.08 (includes shipping: £13.20)

Parental approval is going to be important here so make sure you choose a nice case and form factor. ITX garnered approval from my sister-in-law. Don't forget to budget for a keyboard and mouse. As a student, check with your school to see if you can buy Windows and Office cheaply.

As for the building, how about getting your father to build it with you?

Yh the thing is my parents don’t care what kind of pc it is as long as it’s built by professionals and lasts me 3-4years (till I can get a job pretty much) the mouse and keyboard I already got and although there not the best I’m happy with them and as for building with my dad he’s not interested and has no knowledge in pcs my family isn’t a tech family they get “professionals” to do everything tech for them as there both working in designing and building houses

Hey Yh I know it’s a lot of money but I’ve worked for it hard I’ve done part time jobs and stuff in the house 2 years of birthday and Christmas money and when your a kid and a new game comes it’s hard to resist not to take some and spend it but I got through it and I can finally buy a pc,, otherwise about the second hand I don’t really want to buy second hand as if you buy it off eBay or something you don’t know what could be wrong with it or even could be the wrong graphics card in side the box but I’ll look into it
