£1000 Gaming PC Specs?

Am interested in a gaming PC inside of 1000 and am curious what kind of spec would the community recommend?
PS : Any recommendations on good hardware vendors in Greater Manchester area would be helpful?
PSPS : Am new to this whole PC assembly thing so apologies well in advance if the questions sound silly
