£1000 Gaming PC

Hi guys/girls.

First time poster who was recommended OCUK by friends. I am planning my first PC build (coming back to PCs after getting sick of console gaming). Looking to spend £1000ish and do not need OS, optical drive, peripherals or monitor. Looking to include Intel CPU, R9 GPU and an SSD.

Looking for an understated look to the system (prefer Corsair cases) and just want to get best bang for the buck really.

Advice on parts would be gratefully appreciated

As for a case, are there any specifics you're looking at? Such as windowed?

I am not too fussed about it being windowed. Would maybe annoy me to much if the colours of the innards didn't match lol.

As for the Z97 and haswell refresh....will it be worth waiting to include in the build or just to wait for the possible price drop of current versions i.e. Will the new versions be much better?
