£1000 laptop with decent GPU

What would be your pick?

I have a Dell Inspiron 7559 with a 6700HQ and GTX960M, it's OK but was wondering if there is anything in the 1k range that would be better for gaming. I'm using the Dell mainly for work these days and it often lives in my office for weeks at a time
 
I have an aversion to MSI from years back. We used to call them Maybe Something Incorrect at work :p

As for the 1050/ti, is it tangibly better than a 960m? I hear the 970m is about 40-50% quicker than the 960m, and the 10** cards are just desktop versions at lower clocks?
 
OK so the apple never falls far from the tree, I've decided to get another Dell Inspiron 7000 series, this time with a 1050 GPU. Now just the choice of i5 7300 and 1050 4GB or i7 7700HQ and 1050Ti. Not sure if the premium is worth it for me, but I don't want a step backwards from the 6700HQ, which is pretty epic for a laptop CPU. Also, red or black... I hate choices :D
