£1000 rig spec please

Can anyone spec my mate a PC for £1000,as I am not really up to date with the new components so I thought I shall ask you lot for help.

He will be using it for Uni work as well as gaming, playing games like Football Manager,UT2004 and UT3 when it comes out. In this he wants a corded keyboard,17" monitor. He will not need a mouse,speakers,soundcard(wants a soundcard on mobo). So please spec him up.
